Life's Knot Fair

On the outskirts of the small town they call Life's Knot stands 2 factories filling the air with thick black smoke, and in the middle of this desolate land stands the once active Fair, Life's Knot Fair.

Now an empty shell that, many years ago, used to place smiles on children’s faces and money in the owners pockets until that one fateful day.

The death of a child at the coconut shy broke a mother’s heart, she swore to the heavens for taking her baby and swore to the hells she’d get her revenge, forever cursing the Fair of Life’s Knot.

No-one knew what happened to the owners for Life’s Knot Fair but they just seemed to disappear without a trace, never to be seen again. People began to speculate and rumours began to circulate about the mysterious incident.

The town’s people feared the woman to be a witch, assuming her to have signed a pact with the Devil. They grew angry and one night hunted her down dealt with her at as they saw fit, burning her to ashes.

Since that day no-one talks about the events at the outskirts of Life’s Knot but let me assure you that mother and child were reunited, yet still the dark clouds hang over the once bustling place.
